I am proud to call Nassau County my home, but that home may not be accessible to the next generation with rising costs of living, including taxes. I understand the importance of responsible fiscal management and will take specific actions to ensure efficient use of taxpayer dollars while delivering essential services to our community.

By standing together and demanding change, we can work towards reducing the tax burden on residents and businesses in Nassau County. Fix our broken assessments

If you have worked your whole life to call Nassau County your home, you shouldn’t have to shell out your savings to keep it that way. The current property tax assessment system has been frozen for 3 years, with our County Executive and GOP Legislators promising that they’ll get around to fixing it Taxpayers know we need action now, not later. In my first week, I will propose legislation to modernize our system with data analytics and digital record-keeping, introduce a regular audit of the entire system, and implement rigorous quality control checks at various stages of the assessment process to catch errors before they become a problem.
